Presenting our saved grains to His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of BiR&D
Anheuser-Busch InBev
On 20th of March, we had the honor to present one of our newest sustainability projects on saved grains to His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belgian Industrial Research & Development Association (“BIR&D”).
BIR&D represents international industrial companies having extensive R&D operations in Belgium and aims to stimulate and improve both the attractiveness and the effectiveness of R&D execution.
During an academic session, the different BIR&D member companies had the opportunity to demonstrate how they contribute to a better future through the Belgian R&D ecosystem: “Anticipating tomorrows challenges: Energy, Raw Materials, Health and Food & Beverage”.
At AB InBev we are committed to driving growth that leads to better living for more people in more places. In the context of the various challenges facing the agrifood industry, we saw a huge opportunity: millions of grains are left after the brewing process still containing high values of proteins and fibers. So we asked ourselves: “What if we could find a way to save the grain and turn it into a sustainable food ingredient?”
LIFE REFRESHMENT demonstrates how industry players can use innovative technology to cut down on waste.
Throughout the event, AB InBev also held a booth at the venue sharing the technology with the participants and introducing them to LIFE REFRESHMENT.
