We have always relied on natural resources to brew our beer

And because we want to still be brewing for many more years it’s vital that we protect and preserve those natural resources and improve the communities where we live and work. Sustainability is firmly embedded in our business, it always was and always will be.

As a brewer we depend on natural resources to create our beers and we never take that for granted!  We know that we need to look after the things that make us great so we are truly committed to protecting those resources.

As a global brewer, we depend on high-quality agricultural crops to brew our beers. Supporting our direct farmers is not just good for us and them, it’s the right thing to do. And alongside this we always endeavour to source locally too.

Water is the main ingredient in beer and we are respectful of our role in improving and maintaining the quality of EU waters and finding ways to minimise wastage.

We are constantly seeking ways to replace the plastic in our packaging, to reduce waste and to reuse as much as possible in our production process. We know we have to play our part and a culture of reuse and recycle is embedded in our business at every point.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint across our entire value chain. By 2025, 100% of our purchased electricity will be from renewable sources and we aim to reduce our total CO2 emissions in the same time frame. We are already seeing savings in our brewing processes; our Simmer & Strip technology provides 80% energy savings on the boiling step, and an overall 5% reduction on our company’s CO2 emissions.
