On the 12th of January 2018 we had the pleasure to welcome Raphael Bequet, our external monitor of the NEEMO team, in the Jupille brewery. The visit was held to give a status update of the project and present the first industrial BEVERAGE pilot. Delegates of the LIFE BEVERAGE management team, as well as members of the LIFE team in the Jupille brewery were represented in this meeting.
During a one hour meeting the progress of the project was presented and discussed. The technology background of the project and the implementation process in both the Jupille and Magor brewery were the main focus of the presentation. As these pilots have different designs, the differences between both installations were highlighted as well. At the end of the presentation, the communication and financial plans were discussed. Finally, the timeline of the project and the further steps were highlighted.
After this presentation, a tour was organized in the Jupille brew house. To allow the BEVERAGE technology to be implemented in the Jupille brewery, necessary adaptations were done. In the first phase of the implementation, deflectors were placed in two brewing kettles of brew house 3. In the second phase, a nitrogen dosing line (picture on the right) was installed to allow automated dosing of nitrogen into the boiling kettles of brew house 3.
To finish the meeting, the project managers of the BEVERAGE team engaged in an in-depth discussion with the external monitor for both the administrative and financial follow-up.
