In November, Jorge Gil-Martinez made a very successful presentation of the LIFE REFRESHMENT technology innovation in the high level EU event “Innov’8”, as part of the “INNOVATION IN HEALTH, NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE” panel.
INNOV8 is a conference organized by EPICENTER, the European Policy Information Center, which is an independent initiative of eight leading think tanks from across the European Union. It is the leading pro-market think tank network in Europe. EPICENTER seeks to inform the EU policy debate and promote the principles of a free society by bringing together the economic expertise of its members. EPICENTER is formed by the Centre for Political Studies (Denmark), Civil Development Forum (Poland), Civismo (Spain), the Institut Economique Molinari (France), the Institute of Economic Affairs (UK), Instituto Bruno Leoni (Italy), the Lithuanian Free Market Institute and Timbro (Sweden). Like its members, EPICENTER is politically independent.
The INNOV8 conference focusses on a number of different aspects of innovation and comprises of important discussions on how European policy should move forward. INNOV8 is a conference for EU-decision makers, innovative companies, and start-ups to meet and explore ways how Europe can become the leading force in the adoption of new technologies. The conference addresses several exciting areas of progress: artificial intelligence & digitalization, fintech & banking, and innovation in food supply & health. The conference provided a unique forum to exchange ideas, shape policy and ensure that the EU remains at the forefront of technological change and policy opportunities. Each panel session has 3-4 panelists and a moderator. The aim is to have panels made up different views and a variety of MEPs, public officials, industry experts and academics.
Judging by the reaction of both the audience and his co-panelists (incl. Robert Madelin, former Head of European Commission’s DG Health) Jorge’s presentation and the endeavor of our company to move into the space of innovative & sustainable nutritional products was highly welcome and positively perceived.
