Further information
What type of plastics are part of the scope?
All plastic from our packaging products – shrink film, stretch film, labels and cap liners.
Are non-plastic alternatives also accepted?
Definitely. As long as the product can be used for the same applications, there is no restriction to what type of material is used, the key requirement is that it must use less or no virgin plastic and be economically viable for large scale production.
If I don’t have a prototype, can I still participate?
Yes. Having a prototype will give the teams an advantage in front of the judges, but it’s not a requirement to have a prototype. However, ideas must be already tested and proven to work.
If we are not an SME or Startup, can we still participate?
Absolutely. The only point to consider is that only startups are eligible for 100+ Accelerator but we are still open to partner with larger companies and research organizations.
Must the companies be registered in Europe?
Not necessarily, we only expect that participating companies are able to ship a sample of the prototype to our office in Leuven, Belgium (Brouwerijplein 1, 3000) to the attention of Sofie Meus
What kind of mentorship will AB InBev offer?
Winning teams will work in close collaboration with a team of our European Zone Innovation & Technology Center (ZITEC).
How will the pitches be delivered?
The pitches will be online, a jury from AB InBev will evaluate the pitches. Pitches will not last longer than 5 – 10 minutes and will follow 5 minutes round of questions.
