On December 19, 2017 the steering board of the LIFE YEAST project came together in Valladolid at the facilities of BDi Biotechnology. During this meeting the technical progress on the project during the last 5 months was presented to the board. The aim of this meeting is mainly to ensure that the planned trials have been started in time, as well as make sure that the budget is respected and possible problems are discovered in time.
On the 21st of March 2018, AB InBev was present at LBK job fair in Leuven. Every year, the Landbouwkring (LBK) organizes this job fair so that students can meet companies to find jobs or internships.
On the 21st of February a job fair was held in ICC Ghent by the bioscience engineering chair of Ghent University. AB InBev was present to meet students and present possible internship possibilities as well as starting positions for graduates. AB InBev is always thinking forward by looking for great people to take on new innovative projects to make the world a cleaner and a better place.
On the 12th of January 2018 we had the pleasure to welcome Raphael Bequet, our external monitor of the NEEMO team, in the Jupille brewery. The visit was held to give a status update of the project and present the first industrial BEVERAGE pilot. Delegates of the LIFE BEVERAGE management team, as well as members of the LIFE team in the Jupille brewery were represented in this meeting.
On 20th of March, we had the honor to present one of our newest sustainability projects on saved grains to His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belgian Industrial Research & Development Association (“BIR&D”).
On March 13th LIFE REFRESHMENT and LIFE BEVERAGE participated at a workshop organized by Deloitte called “How to finance your sustainability with grants and incentives”. To this workshop a targeted number of companies, from widely different sectors, were invited to share with them the opportunities to fund sustainability projects in Europe and Belgium.
