World Water Day: Focusing on the importance of water

World Water Day: Focusing on the importance of water

Today the world celebrates World Water Day. On this day, says the United Nations, “people everywhere show that they care and that they have the power to make a difference.” There is no better time to consider what water means to AB InBev and all of us working here, and how we can collectively make a difference.

Bringing our Global Smart Drinking Goals to life: a bar that serves only no-alcohol and lower-alcohol beers

Since the launch of our Global Smart Drinking Goals in December last year we have started to work on new and exciting projects that we would like to share with you. An example of our efforts to provide consumers with more choice to make smart decisions is the launch of a “pop-up bar” which only serves no- and lower-alcohol beers.

Awareness Week on Alcohol Related Harm 2015 is taking place this week and it’s a good time to share our progress on implementing our commitment on consumer information. Under this commitment, we will provide consumers in Europe with full ingredient and nutritional values (the ‘Big 7’: energy values, fat, saturated fats, carbohydrates, sugars, proteins and salt) on our beers; on label and online.

Industry Joining Forces on Global Beer Responsibility Day

Industry Joining Forces on Global Beer Responsibility Day

On September 18th, Global Beer Responsibility Day will be organized as a joint beer industry initiative for the first time in a number of markets worldwide. During this day we want to emphasize our continuous efforts to remind consumers to enjoy our beers in a responsible way.  This event originally started as an initiative by AB InBev back in 2010 and since then we’ve seen similar efforts from other alcohol producers, which we of course welcome as a very positive development.

Being part of a wider barley growers network: a mutual benefit

Being part of a wider barley growers network: a mutual benefit

Barley is one of the main ingredients of beer and therefore its availability and quality are crucial to our company’s future and success. However, with the rise of crop issues due to increasingly erratic climate patterns, farmers are moving away from malting barley in favour of crops with simpler management and more predictable revenues. In order to be able to keep brewing great beers in future, it is essential that malting barley remains a relevant and attractive crop to the best growers in the world.
